Worse News

Diandra T (aka "Frenchie") tore her ACL last night in the Georgetown game. What can we say?

Actually, there are several things the BasketCases would like to say . . . but children might be reading this.

Yesterday's Round 2 loss was bad, disappointing, depressing. But this news about Diandra is downright . . . HORRIBLE!

About all we can say (that children can read) is that we hope her upcoming repair surgery is a success and that she makes a full recovery, as quickly as possible.

Nous sommes désolés pour vous, Diandra.

Terrible, terrible news! So sorry to hear it. I tore a ligament in my knee in college and it is about the worst pain I've ever experienced (even worse than having fluid loose in my abdominal cavity). I wish her a full and speedy recovery and look forward to her returning to the court.

Here is the exact quote from Mr. B. regarding the Mystics. I want to be accurate-
April 7 -
"On this date, the Mystics will be making a big announcement that will change the look of professional women’s basketball in the greater Washington, D.C. region. More to come in the subsequent weeks, so stay tuned."

What in the world does that mean?? I am afraid also. I mean, this is the Mystics organization we are talking about so I can't help but to be afraid instead of excited.

Haven't they already revealed the logo and the uniforms with the red? At this point, I'm sort of terrified. And I'm not even a Mystics fan.

We feared the worst when Tchatchouang went down. Damn, it's a bitch to know that injury so well, innit? Best of luck and recovery to her.

Perhaps they are getting a sponsors name on the uniforms ala what the Seattle Storm has done with Bing and the Sparks have done with Farmers Insurance. Hopefully they won't get Exxon on the front of their uniforms.

Perhaps we'll have the Halliburton Blackwater Mystics....w a little teeny salamander on the hip of the shorts.
