Coach B Calling.

In a major departure from Coach Frese's normal, very personal coaching style, tonight as the Terps take on the UC-Santa Barbara Gauchos, if Coach B wishes to communicate with any of her coaches or players, she'll be forced to do it in a far less personal fashion . . . by telephone.

According to today's Santa Barbara News-Press,

"[Coach Daron] Park . . .[is] taking the reins in place of head coach Brenda Frese, who is pregnant with twins and was advised by her doctor not to make the transcontinental flight to California."

Which means that Coach D (not B) will be prowling the sidelines of the Thunderdome. And it also means that for the first time ever, Coach B's view of the game will be exactly the same as that of the BasketCases . . . we'll all be watching the webcast on http://www.bigwest.tv/ (except that Coach B's $4.95 pay-per-view charge will be tax deductible).
