Congratulations to (former) Mystics Assistant Coach Marynell Meadors, who was named today as the first ever head coach and general manager of the WNBA's new Atlanta franchise! The Atlanta fill-in-the-blanks are very lucky to have someone of Marynell's experience and talent . . . not to mention she's just one of the nicest coaches who's ever sat on the Mystics bench -- and that's drawing from a pretty large sample!

We wish Marynell the best of luck with the new franchise . . . except, of course, when they're playing the Mystics.
