The Baby Watch . . . two days later.

As you know from the BasketCases' report on Tuesday, the Mystics' starting point guard, Nikki Teasley, is pregnant. In this morning's Washington Post, Nikki T says that "[she]'ll miss a very small part of the season."

Congratulations, Nikki. I’m sure you’ll enjoy the parenting experience. And no need to hurry back -- unless you get into better shape than you’ve been in the past. Early in your career you could rely on your skills (excellent) and your pure court sense (tremendous) but now you’re almost 29 and if you want your career to be (a) longer and (b) productive you’ve got to focus more on conditioning.

Not that the Stics have other wonderful options… Blue has spark but she’s shown little indication that she’s much of a floor general, and AJ doesn’t get much love from Lynx fans. If Kim Beck is still available when the second round pick comes up, the Stics should take her.

Do we know if the Lynx have matched the Mystics' offer for Jacobs? I can't find anything on it.
