Yay, the Terps Won. But it's Really Late. . .
Thanks to the Comcast TV schedule, tonight's game against Virginia didn't tip off until the rather unusual time of 8:30 PM. Which meant it wasn't over till nearly 10:30 PM, which meant we didn't get home till . . . well, you get the gist. The BCs have day jobs, and we need to get up early tomorrow, like it or not. So by necessity, this will just be a quick post about the game.
Virginia always seems to play the Terps tough. Tonight was no exception. But at least Maryland won, 68-61, and is now back on track (after the loss at Miami). It wasn't pretty, but it was a W and that's what really counts. Laurin Mincy had a big game tonight, leading all scorers with 20, while Lynetta Kizer, off the bench, put up a double-double (10 points and 10 boards).

Can't wait for Sunday's game vs Duke!! :)
We did not look very good tonight. Hopefully, we execute better against Wake Forest on Thursday night. Barrett had a really poor night handling the basketball--just not good decisions. Thankfully Mincy was back on with her shooting and Kizer gave us some tough play on the inside.
Did I hear right - that Yolanda Griffith's daughter plays for the Terps? Who is she?

Yolanda Griffith is Alicia DeVaughn's birth mother.

Do the BC's know the back story to this one? Apparently, Alicia would be the second daughter--the first being Candace, who Griffith raised as a single mom while in college, playing abroad and in the US.
I just read about the new assistant coach for the Mystics. I am not quite sure about this one. She did not have a good record and was criticized for her play calls while coaching at both Minnesota and LA sparks. Poor choice.
very poor choice-Jennifer Gilom is not a good coach. Her and Trudy should make a great match.
