Tired. You may have guessed that the BasketCases were a bit tired from watching yesterday's game, which explains why we limited our actual game report to a single paragraph. Well, this morning we learned from reading the Washington Post and the Washington Times that we weren't the only ones tired yesterday. The Mystics were tired too.
The problem with being tired is that it can be contagious. Fans can get tired of watching a tired team play. Fans can get tired of spending good money to watch a tired team play. Fans can get tired of spending a beautiful Sunday afternoon inside an arena watching a tired team play.
The BasketCases hope that the tired Mystics catch up on their sleep before tomorrow night's game against San Antonio.

I'm sorry, but that's lame! They're professionals and we're paying good money to see a quality product. Other teams aren't going to feel sorry for them and give them a break. Why should we?
From the dotcom:
"Center Nakia Sanford had 15 points and 10 rebounds for Washington. Milton-Jones added 10 points and 14 rebounds. The duo also combined for 13 turnovers."
Those turnovers were the back breakers for us last night. Indy scored 24 points on turnovers. Hope they can get some rest before tomorrow nite's game.
On a (MUCH-NEEDED!!!!!) happier note, did anyone see the article on Delisha Milton-Jones and her husband in today's Washington Times? Nice article. Check it out!
Thanks, Stewart. I had completely missed it. VERY NICE!!! If you've ever talked with RJ, one of the first things that strike you is that he is head over heals in love with Dee. Given todays' social climate and the world they live in, it's very refreshing see a man profess his boundless love for his mate and not care who knows it.
I've had the pleasure of speaking with RJ and Dee. They talked about their lifestyle and how untraditional it is. Said that as a married couple, they've never had the experience of having to sit down and make a budget and pay bills - mortgage, utilities, etc., and they wondered what that would be like. I told them that it wasn't all its cracked up tp be, and to just enjoy it while you can (smile).
Stewart,
We appreciate the heads-up on that great article in the Times!
As you can see, we put it up on the blog, so all of our readers can enjoy it.
Thanks again!

I am "tired" of hearing about Mystics long-standing policies. The French have a "long-standing policy" of surrendering to the Germans. That doesn't make it a good idea.
And Teasley was the tiredest of all; according to the post she told Tree she had to opt out of the rest of the second half after three minutes. I've harped on this before, but either she's still feeling the effects of her injury or she's out of condition (maybe both). If she continues this way, and if Nikki B. isn't an adequate replacement, the 'Stics might do well do make point guard a priority after this season ends.
