Regulation Is Our Time! Last season, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons inexplicably took Maryland to overtime in Winston-Salem. The Terps were having none of that today, racing out to a 10-0 lead and never looking back, winning 83-60. Still, it appeared that it was hard for Maryland to play focused basketball for an entire 40 minutes against a team that hadn't won since December 17 and that had come into Comcast 0 and 5 in the ACC (with none of those losses against teams named Duke or Carolina). In fact, the most exciting play of the day was made by three Maryland cheerleaders, who formed a human pyramid late in the second half in order to dislodge a ball that had become wedged between the rim and the backboard. This garnered a well-deserved round of applause from the crowd of 10,526, who had braved snow and icy roads to do something far more fun this afternoon than watch football.

Next up for Maryland: the Clemson Tigers on Thursday at Clemson. The Terps are then back at home next Sunday for the sold-out game against the Tar Heels.
