DeLisha's #1 Fan.

There was some Mystics news in today's Washington Times that we actually enjoyed reading (and thanks to loyal blog reader Stewart for calling our attention to it). Bob Cohn has an outstanding feature on DeLisha Milton-Jones and her #1 fan (and husband of 4 years), Roland ("RJ") Jones.

The BasketCases have been loyal fans of DMJ since she first put on a Mystics uniform. And since Roland's been sitting in our row at the Phone Booth for the past couple of seasons, we've become big fans of his, too. He really is a great guy!

It's a fun and interesting story of the partnership between these "Couple of basketball players." Don't miss it!

And for anyone wondering what happened to Megan Vogel's blogs since she was waived by the Mystics, well, she's continued to share her experience of transitioning from a WNBA 2nd Round draftee to a DC summer intern with readers of the Sioux Falls Argus Leader. In case your copy of Saturday's Leader hasn't arrived yet in your mailbox from South Dakota, just follow our link to Megan's latest blog on DC traffic and her eyewitness account of the Mystics' big win over Detroit.

Thanks for making this available! I *really* don't like to buy the Washington Times, but I enjoyed reading the article. Thanks to you I consumed it guilt-free.

Sure wish Megan could be out there playing basketball. She is such a team player and I know she'd give it her all if she had the chance. Maybe another team will pick her up and they will see just what the Mystics missed out on by not having her on the bench. good luck Megan is everything you do. Keep up the blogging. We in South Dakota love it and you will be successfully in anything you try out for.
