Woo 'Hoos!!!! Thanks to the Cavaliers' gritty come-from-behind win tonight in Tallahassee over the 'Noles, 68-63 (an exciting game that had the BasketCases yelling "Dee-fense" at their TV on every FSU possession down the stretch), Maryland is now only a half-game out of first place in the ACC. And, more important: the Terps now control their own destiny!

If Maryland can ground the Boston College Eagles at Comcast on Friday and survive a Hurricane in Miami on Sunday, it doesn't matter whether FSU wins its final game at Wake Forest. Even if that happens, the Terps, by virtue of the tie-break (Maryland won the only head-to-head meeting with FSU) will at the very least share the ACC Regular Season Title and will enter the ACC Tournament as the Number 1 Seed!

Woo 'Hoos! Go Terps!

BC and Miami are easy W's. The Terps may be the only team that could handle UCONN.

The amazing thing has been that there is absolutely no drop off from last year and they play better defense. Kizer is putting up the same kind of numbers we saw from Langhorne.

They have the type of athletism to contend with the Huskies. It's a matchup I hope to see in the NCAA tournament.

Dear Anonymous,

"BC and Miami are easy W's."

We doubt that the Terps coaches or players would agree. MD only squeaked by BC earlier by 4 pts, and Miami has been putting a scare into some good teams of late. Looking past ANY opponent is a guaranteed recipe for disaster in our opinion.

The only wins that are "easy" are games already played.

Aww, much as I love the way Lynetta is tearing up the place, I really had to wonder if this was true, so I looked up the stats. Ms. Kizer is giving us 11.8 ppg and 7.4 rebounds; in Crystal's freshman year she averaged 17.4 ppg and 10.6 rebounds. Lynetta Kizer is a fantastic player, I'm thrilled we have her, but she's not contributing quit as much as Crystal did.

Well put, BC! Never take your opponent lightly. That's a basic rule from Sin Tzu's "Art of War."

No team is an easy W - not until the horn has sounded and the game is recorded in the books. I'm bummed that I cannot attend tomorrow's game due to school-related commitments, but I hope you all get some great pictures of it all.

I agree BC no game is easy, especially in the ACC. Also, Kizer is great. Not putting up the same numbers but holding her own. Also, I am sure she is not the 1st option when it comes to scoring as probably Langhorne was her freshman year.

I don't think Crystal had the supporting cast in her freshman year that Kizer has this year. The Terps didn't have two great scorers to distribute the scoring back then. If you remember, Shay put up big numbers until Marissa and Kristi arrived.
