I won't be able to make it tomorrow night, but I just wanted to throw this out there:
Most Experienced WNBA Rosters (by average player's experience):
Eastern Conference:
1. Detroit: 4.27 years
2. Indiana: 4.25 years
3. Washington: 3.83 years
4. Connecticut: 3.75 years
5. Chicago: 2.15 years
6. New York: 1.80 years
Western Conference:
1. Los Angeles: 4.75 years
2. San Antonio: 4.25 years
3. Seattle: 4.18 years
4. Phoenix: 4.17 years
5. Houston: 3.85 years
6. Sacramento: 3.69 years
7. Minnesota: 2.15 years
It looks like we're 8th in experience among the 13 teams. Given that fact, I think it's great that DeLisha's set the bar at 20 wins. But it's going to be tough to pull it out.
(note: if you switch to median years instead of average, we're tied with L.A. for 5th, behind San Antonio, Detroit, Indiana, and Seattle. But I still think we may be too young to finish higher than 3rd in the east.)
I guess we'll just have to see if we can get the home crowd fired up and pull off some upsets. ;)
While it IS "ALL MYSTICS tonite," don't forget to give some love to former UVA standout and assistant Mystics Coach Jenny Boucek, who's now the bench boss for Sacto. We need a big "W" tonight! Go Stars & Stripes!
