Bring a $10 bill to the Hall of Fame Cafe on the campus of Marshall University today at noon, and you get lunch, 50 cents change, AND Coach Brenda Frese as keynote speaker at the Locker Room Club luncheon! Now that's what the BasketCases call a deal!

Oh, and Coach B will be sticking around Huntington, WV after lunch, as her undefeated Terrapins take on the Marshall Thundering Herd tonight at 7:00 PM. (A Thundering Herd vs a Turtle? Scary!) You can watch the game on Herd All-Access (the link is available on the Terps' website. Caution, though: this may be pay-per-view.).

Tonight's contest is a much anticipated event in Huntington . . . it's the first time in the history of Marshall University that any sport at Marshall has played host to a Division I, top-ranked team at home. That's B-I-G! Even the opposing coach, Royce Chadwick is excited. According to the Herald-Dispatch:
Getting a team of that caliber to come in is a rare feat. Although Marshall faced 2005 national champion Baylor last season in Mexico, this will be the first time in program history that it has faced the No. 1 team in the nation...."(Maryland coach) Brenda (Frese) is bringing her team here because she's a person of her word," said Marshall coach Royce Chadwick. "She's been true to her word and that's commendable."The initial talks for the game began long before the Terrapins became champions.... Maryland chose to honor the commitment despite the other opportunities that might have been presented.
Sounds like the Brenda we all know.
